How to replace the projector bare bulb with existing housing

Step 1: Undid the screws from the back cover

There are four screws that held the projector lamp cover. In the first place, remove these screws with your Phillips screwdriver. And keep them safe. Because we have to reinstall it in a moment.

Step 2: Remove the projector lamp back cover

Step 3: Remove the buckle that held the projector bare bulb.

The metal black is the main part holding the original bare bulb. Losen it carefully.

Step 4: Remove the plugin from the lamp housing

Step 5: Install a new original bare bulb or compatible bulb into the housing.

Step 6: Install the metal block.

When installing the metal block, confirm the four gaps locked correctly.

Step 7: Install the plugin to the housing.

Step8: Assemble the projector lamp housing back cover.

Resetting Epson HC5035 projector lamp life counter

Whenever you replace a projector lamp or bare bulb, don’t forget to reset lamp life counter in your projector. The lamp life counter is calculating how long the lamp is turned on. When the lamp come to its life, the indicator will notify you it is time to replace a new lamp.

But how to reset the lamp life counter?

• Turn on the projector
• Press the ‘MENU’ button. The configuration will be displayed on the screen.
• Use the remote control ‘Up’ and ‘Down’ keys to select ‘Reset’ and ‘Reset Lamp Hours’
• When a confirmation message box will pop up. Select ‘Yes’ to reset the lamp life.
